Better Typography

If you’ve been searching for a way to get that great font to show up on your website, or if you just want pretty, anti-aliased text for your headings, check out this very clever solution: sIFR, a flash-replacement technique. You can see it in action on this very site!

Now, this would be a great candidate for a wordpress plugin, wouldn’t it? Hmmmm…..

It also breaks cut’n'paste, doesn’t show up on browsers without flash installed or with flashblock installed, causes page slowdowns and strange gray boxes on my browser, and generally annoys the hell out of me.

True enough. Ah well - too bad, it’s purdy. Hur Hur.

I strongly doubt that enough people are going to read my site that accessibility will be an issue. If I thought otherwise I would put more effort into fixing the other problems as well :-P
I’ve noticed that it does get a little jumpy while images are loading in firefox, but out of curiosity, what browser are you using?

For the record, sIFR degrades gracefully (back to a plain old <hX>) if flash is not installed or if it’s blocked. At least, it’s supposed to.
